While visiting family in Denver we found our way to Colfax St. For those of you that don't know, it's a super sketchy hood. It's a dense multitude of crack heads with equal parts teenage mothers and strollers. On the upside there are about 20 something thrift stores along Colfax. We made out with a handful of conversational pieces. So it was a fruitful day. Then we almost hit the jackpot via a craigslist post. This women wanted to clear out two bedrooms packed full of old textiles... She decided to give it ALL to a girl scout troop! Dang...
Then we spent a day in Golden, Co. It's a really cute historical town. Golden is also where Coors beer is brewed. They were having a christmas parade, with the cutest pack of alpacas and mini ponies.
Golden had a really nice assortment of aged Arapaho rugs. Here are some pics of them.
