If Ya Don't Know Than Ya DUMBO

I love rust
Bridge Guts
You see a bridge I see a dress
Oh Hey NYC!
Pretty

Rust I have a crush on you
Will you go out with me?
Aint nothin wrong with a little tree huggin

Squigglers galore

HOLLY HELL. So so so tired. Walked myself over the Brooklyn Bridge all over DUMBO and then back over the Manhattan Bridge. First time in that part of BK, so nice to explore a new spot, gonna make this a habit for sure. Lots and lots of amazing scenery/views, and some marvelous surface textures. If you know me you know I like my textures. SUCCESS!

North Carolina in the Sunshine-a!!

Hopped on the luxurious China Town bus ( which I prefer to call the Marjorie Express) and fled the big bad city. Made my exit at Raleigh, North Carolina home of like five gazillion colleges. Hit up a flea market and a few thrift stores and scored some sweet vintage treats and a possible estate sale connection (holler). Also accomplished: a wobbly ass bike ride, many many many pony sightings, and the world's worst shoes ever (please note above). FUN FUN FUN

Getting acquainted with the Lomo

Here are a handful of photos taken over the weekend with our new cameras. I came across elk skulls for $30 and got some deals on fabric. And I spent time admiring the detailed stonework on these buildings. Amazing!

Location: Parallel to the tracks

I really love the shadow cast by the grate below. It makes me think of petals descending from the sky. The aged building is a testament of durability. Weathered and splitting at the seams.

Hells Kitchen is Bitchin!

Hopped on the subway and rode all the way to Hells Kitchen in Manhattan for the weekly flea market. Didn't find any fleas worth shelling out for and most of the vintage was WAAAAYYY overpriced (thank god for Quinn in the homeland), but i did grab a few pretty scarves. Also found some really cool batik stamps that I'm really stoked to experiment with artwise. Either way made for a lovely day!
