A Home Tour

One of my favorite things ever is getting the chance to explore old homes! The next few post are filled with imagery from this site. The Evah C. Cray historical home.

Lace!

Here are photos of lacy garments made in the late 1800's.

Boots, eye ware and post cards

These are post cards made from leather! This was popular because if they were sent via a boat one didn't have to worry about water damage.

A highchair and or stroller(once you pull a lever to set it lower)!

The Evah C. Cray Museum

Earlier this week I spent the morning in Atchison, Ks. While their, I took a tour of a 130 year old, 25 room mansion. It's called the Evah C. Cray historical home museum. When they decided on the plot it was already occupied with a cemetery. They had all the bodies relocated... And so, there are stories of haunting's. It had all the original Chandeliers, five ornately decorated fireplaces, Stain glass, and a complete Humpty Dumpty toy circus set (one of two known remaining sets in the U.S.) Here are some of the photos I took.
